Triple Crochet Stitch

July 31, 2018August 2, 20181 Comment

Another new stitch to learn! I hope you've been enjoying the crochet basic series I've been doing, I certainly have been! The triple crochet builds off of the double crochet (dc). You will be adding an extra yarn over in the beginning and working your way down to only have one loop on your hook, … Continue reading Triple Crochet Stitch

Double Crochet Stitch

Welcome back to the crochet basics lessons! We've learned chaining and single crochet so far. Now it's time to add to our knowledge by building our skill with the double crochet. The double crochet, DC, is probably my favorite stitch because of it's versatility. The stitch can be used in so many way to create … Continue reading Double Crochet Stitch

Single Crochet Stitch

I like to think of the single crochet as a foundational stitch because both the double and triple stitches are built off of the single. Using the yarn over technique from the previous lesson of chaining, we are going … Continue reading Single Crochet Stitch

I did not win any mom awards last week. Between feeling defeated from not getting a job interview, the boys constantly fighting over toys, and my youngest teething four teeth, I was just kind of done (you saw my middle of the parking lot, eating ice cream stories 😆). Oh how grateful I am for the clean slate a Monday brings! Today has still been a little hard but because my perspective has been flipped I’m pretty sure the week is on the upward trend. I’m working hard on being more patient and present and not getting distracted by things that don’t really matter (like my phone 🙈very guilty there). I’m showing up and putting in the work. Now I’m off to play cars with my boys 💙
In an effort to be more festive for valentines this week (we only have two valentines decorations and forget to do activities every year 🙈) we made our sugar cookie dough today so we can bake and frost them tomorrow for our family activity! I shared the recipe in my stories if you want to do the same with your family this week, it’s a really easy and simple recipe 💖❤️💝 I like it because it turns out smooth and creamy instead of grainy, like other recipes can. What other valentines activities do you do with your family? Cuz I need all the help I can get!
